Feasibility Study of Water Supply for Rawalpindi Based On Cherah And Daduchah Dam Sources

Project aimed to provide additional source of water for Rawalpindi, including Cantonment through two new dams. In addition, water conductance mains, treatment plants, pumping stations and allied facilities were also a part of the project. JEC prepared feasibility study including suitable routes of water conductance mains, treatment plants, pumping stations and allied facilities.

42 dia 23 km long conductance main was recommended for Cherah Dam site to Rawal Dam Filtration Plant with 15 MGD water treatment plant at Cherah Dam site. A 15 MGD pumping station was also planned at dam site to convey water.

42 dia 25 km long conductance main was recommended for Darucha Dam site to Rawal Dam Filtration Plant with 25 MGD water treatment plant at Darucha Dam site. A pumping station at dam site and intermediate pumping station was also planned to convey water to Rawalpindi Cantt.
