Pakistan lies on a terrain which is made of intersecting tectonic plates. This makes Pakistan a high risk territory for Earthquakes, especially the mountainous region which has the highest intensity of earthquakes. It is essential to design earthquake resistant structures as well as services to limit the damage the geological phenomenon can cause.
Apart from this, Pakistan is also risk averse to flooding due to changing climate, which causes Glacial Lake Outbursts as well as high intensity monsoon rains at an increasing rate with time. It is essential to manage and limit the effect of natural disaster to efficient design.
